Mykraphone Mike, Born and raised in the blugrass,started out as a nickname given by the mother of a local record shop owner after she told her son(sami) that he talked too much it has since developed into a Personna that is quickly becoming a local legend. Mykraphone Mike has been DJing since late 1999 inspired soley by the prince song with the same year. He started out opening for local acts such as Whole from the sun, Misstreat, and became a staple in the WordSmiths Shows after getting his big oppurtunity to Dj/MC the 2002 NYE extraganza at Redmons where a last minute cancellation allowed him to actually showcase his lyrical talent as well as his dj abilties. from that point his name and work ethic landed him several gigs including being the tour DJ for the 2006 Spring cleaning QN5 tour where he shared the stage with acts such as Cunninlynquists, Tonedeff, Pack FM, Session, Witch doctor, Blackalisous,Fatlip from the pharcyde, Krs-one, Pigeon John, Lifesavas, rev shines, Aesop Rock, Black Spade, Scribbling idiots, Just Me, Nappy Roots, just to name a few. Mykraphone took his talents to new levels when he became the On field announcer for the Lexington Legends the Single A affliate of the Houston Astros. Currently Mykraphone is working on Projects with Raddiculous Productions, and Backroad where his sampling skill as well as his rhyming will be showcased. be on the look out for the blugrass konspriacy mixtape showcasing dozen of local artists from KY.
